Western Title & Escrow Company has expanded its presence in southern Oregon with the acquisition of Douglas County Title Company. The acquisition, effective December 1st, 2007, brings Western Title & Escrow’s total number of branches to 21 locations in nine Oregon counties. The Douglas County division will be managed by Dan Slape, who will continue to serve as division manager for Western Title & Escrow’s Lane County division. Lorrie Sutherland, Branch Manager for Douglas County Title, will continue to manage the branch under the Western Title & Escrow name. Founded in Roseburg in 1879, Douglas County Title Company is a full-service title and escrow company and was the first title company established in Douglas County. Douglas County’s 5,071 square miles are home to approximately 120,000 people, spanning from Crater Lake in the east to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area on the Pacific Coast. |
